National Meeting of School Science Clubs 2023 – PAFSE in the Spotlight!

On the 13th of October 2023, Portugal’s Ciência Viva Agency organized the National Meeting of “Clubes Ciência Viva na Escola 2023″, this is, the national meeting of School Science Clubs, at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento (Pavilion of Knowledge), in Lisbon, Portugal, which brought together over 600 science and technology enthusiasts, including representatives from municipalities, companies, and scientific institutions, which emphasized the significance of science and technology in the educational arena.

The PAFSE Project attended the event as invited by the Directorate-General for Education, highlighting its dedication to promoting science and STEM education. The meeting facilitated the strengthening of partnerships with various education stakeholders and emphasized the crucial role of science in shaping future generations.

The event showcased crucial topics including the climate emergency, artificial intelligence, and food alongside a Science and Technology exhibition. Here, companies, municipalities, Science Centers, and scientific institutions showcased their unique innovations and discoveries to both the scientific community and the general public.

The “Clubes Ciência Viva na Escola 2023″ National Meeting was successful, emphasizing the significance of cooperation between academia, public and private sectors to advance scientific education in Portugal. The event serves as a reminder of the vital role science and technology play in shaping society and creating a sustainable future for both present and future generations.
