PAFSE Project Successfully Concludes Comprehensive Webinar Series
The PAFSE project has successfully completed a comprehensive series of insightful webinars. These sessions were designed to support teachers in creating effective technology-enhanced learning environments focused on public health.
The webinars, which ran from Wednesday 10th January 2024 to Wednesday 14th February 2024, were organised under the auspices of Arsakeia – Tositseia School and the Regional Centre for Educational Planning of Western Greece.
The series began with a session on technological and pedagogical approaches in education, led by Professor Anastasios Mikropoulos of the University of Ioannina. This was followed by an exploration of proposals for biology teaching methodologies presented by Dr Kapsala, Professor Galani and Professor Mavrikaki from the University of Athens.
Subsequent sessions provided insights into the pedagogical and design principles of the PAFSE e-me platform and its current functionalities, presented by Dr Elina Megalou, Director of Strategy and Digital Educational Content Directorate at CTI “Diophantus”. Participants also gained an understanding of the educational scenario “Mathematical representation of an epidemic: the case of SIR modelling”, presented by Dimitris Chalkidis from ME.d University of Ioannina.
Each 90-minute session was followed by a 15-minute break before delving into collaborative teaching techniques, led by Dr Ioanna Bellou from EDIP University of Ioannina, or exploring cognitive abilities during epidemics/health outbreaks with students with intellectual disabilities, led by Dr Georgia Iatraki from the University of Ioannina.
The webinar series equipped educators with innovative tools and methodologies to enhance learning experiences in today’s dynamic educational landscape. We thank all participants for their active participation and look forward to future collaborations!
