PAFSE at the 4th High School of Agios Dimitrios (Greece) – Part 2
Within the framework of the PAFSE program, Dr. Martha Georgiou, a Biologist and member of the Teaching Staff at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, visited the 4th Middle High School of Agios Dimitrios in Attica, Greece. During her visit, she delivered a presentation to the students, focusing on the social aspects of the recent pandemic and drawing comparisons with previous pandemics in human history.
Under the guidance of their teachers, Ms. Chara Drampalou and Mr. Dimitris Papadakis, the students were organized into groups and conducted research to investigate the social disparities that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of the implementation of the educational scenario “Social determinants of health during epidemic/pandemic outbreak”. Each group summarized their research findings in posters and presented their work to the rest of the class.
