New versions of PAFSE educational scenarios
New versions of PAFSE educational scenarios emerged following their enactment at PAFSE schools in Greece. These new versions concern the following three scenarios:
- “The mathematical representation of an epidemic: the case of SIR (Susceptible, Infectious, or Recovered) modeling”
- “Social determinants of health during an epidemic/pandemic outbreak”
- “Function of vaccines, vaccine hesitancy and misinformation”.
Each of the above scenarios has two new versions: one designed for junior high school students and the other for senior high school students.
The new versions of the scenarios differ from their initial scenarios in both context and content issues. They have been adapted to align more closely with the curricula, with reduced duration, and they use less digital educational resources, they involve alternative phases. Additionally, alternative phases have been introduced, and some learning activities are now optional.
