AMU workshop: “How the immune system learns”
On December 8th, during the workshop “How the immune system learns” organized as part of the PAFSE project, students of the primary school in Krzyż Wlkp. learned about the concept of immunity and the criteria for its division into innate and acquired, as well as passive and active. By taking on the roles of elements involved in the immune response, such as skin cells, B and T lymphocytes, macrophages, antibodies, and pathogens, they figured out how the immune system deals with defense against microorganisms and “learns”. There were also issues related to vaccinations and their role in acquiring immunity by animals, including humans.
