AMU: “Planet of viruses”
“Planet of viruses” is the title of the last workshop, carried out on December 15, at the Faculty of Biology of the AMU for students of the school complex in Krzyż Wielkopolski. During the classes, students learned about the systematics of viruses, their structure, and the functions of their parts. They learned about their biology, wondered whether they could be classified as animate or inanimate “part of the world”, and modeled an “ideal virus” by giving it both known features and adding proprietary features that could increase the infectious potential of viruses. Great importance was also attached to methods of preventing viral infections.
